An absolute classic
What you will need:
- A large bucket
- Apples (pears or orange quarters can also be used)
- Water
How to set it up:
- Place water into the large bucket and add the apples (and pears or oranges if using them)
Top Tip
For equines who struggle to understand how to reach the apples, or who seem nervous of having to ‘bob’ the apples, don’t put in too much water to start with. So the apples are just sarting to float is enough. When they get the idea or gain more confidence, increase the water to make it more of a challenge.
For equines on restricted diets, quarter the apples or use a low sugar alternative such as cucumber or celery.
